So we are back in Arlington after the Christmas break; we had just started to get our legs under us after all the craziness of last semester and we are already thrown back into the next one. We were so happy to get to go home to Utah and see all of our friends and family. Being at home was like having a life raft to grab onto for a little while while i am out swimming the seas. We wish we could have spent more time with everyone; it went to quickly.
We are home now and Wow did we come home to the real world. Phil got immediately back into classes, reading and late nights at the computer. We have been working together- night and day- getting his resume together and calling contacts. We have been getting all the stuff ready to send out his applications in hopes of getting a summer associates position at any law firm that will have us. There is nothing like sucking up to every lawyer you have ever known that really makes you realize where you are on the totem pole. But hey if it gets us a job, who cares. Libby has decided to become a totally different baby, all of a sudden. She isn't sleeping at all on her old schedule and to make matters even more tricky she got sick on Saturday when we foolishly ( first time parents) took her out to the National Geographic museum in 30 degree weather with 88% humidity. OOPS! we are just hoping we didn't give her pneumonia. Don't worry about calling us to tell us how stupid that was .... libby is making sure we suffer the consequences.
I am just doing all i can to hold everything together and occasionally get some sleep. Last night my adorably wonderful hubby saw that i was about to either cry or go postal so he took Libby and let me sleep for a little bit. He always saves the day.
So that is about it - busy as can be but loving it -love you all and hope to hear from you soon.

Libby talking up a storm
We have officailly become paparazzi for our daughter. Libby has started talking so much but everytime we pull out the video camera she goes absolutley silent so i have been doing sneak attacks and getting little snip its of her on my cell phone until we got this little collection. So here is the first ever recorded sighting of the very rare and elusive talking Liberty bird.
It has finally happened....
little sweetheart
Just a little update- Libby is getting so chubby she is up to 14 lbs already and as cute as can be. Philly is studying his brains out and is super ready to have finals here and over with - but i think he is doing pretty good with staying on top of things. I am just hanging out everyday with libby trying to keep us both sane and alive even though we are starting to feel like survivors on a desert island.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Our very first Halloween with our little Miss Liberty. I decided that since we have been calling her our little bug we would dress her up this year as a little bug so i spent all day Thursday sewing her very first Halloween costume. We had a church party we decided to go to so i had to get it finished in one day and i am not the most skilled at sewing but it turned out ok and once I put it on her it was sooo super cute. The party was ....ok.... we went in, ate some pizza and spent some time showing off Libby's costume and then headed home. On Saturday we had a pretty low key day we just rented a scarey movie and of course ate our traditional chilli dogs and hot apple cider. Nate and Jen came over and we play an awesome round of Phase 10 and ate more junk food than any of us ever should have - but hey thats what Halloween is for right. Happy Halloween everyone!
Going to the Dr's
I took Bert to the Dr this week and she is doing really well- she is not too happy about all the shots but they say the fever and grumpiness from them should be gone in a day or so. The Dr told us that she is over the 90 % in length and under the 50% in weight, so we have a super tall skinny little girl. She weights ten pounds and is two feet tall, at two months, so we couldn't be happier --- maybe someone in this family will be tall. hah ha ha! Its good to hear she is happy and healthy.

Little Miss Liberty

So here is our little Liberty we finally got some time to get some pictures up so we can show off how cute she is. She is growing and changing so fast it is amazing. Her eyes are still blue but they are getting a little lighter in the middle and getting a bit of green in them. Her little legs are getting so chubby and rolly and she is already starting to rub off all her dark hair in spots so she looks like we took the hair trimmers to her head hehehheheheh. She is a little ball of personality she doesn't even really seem like a baby at times, she is already smiling at us and making faces. She is a total handful but we are having the time of our lives not sleeping and enjoying her.
